LANGLEY, Va. -- Justin Bonsignore had a day that was all around solid on Saturday night in Virginia.
In the CheckeredFlag.com 150 for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour at Langley Speedway, Bonsignore was inside the top-five in practice, qualifying and the duration of the race. When the checkered flag went in the air, Bonsignore finished in the third spot in the Kenneth Massa Motorsports No. 51. The finish was yet another top-five in his 2023 season. In 12 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour races, Bonsignore has been top-five in all but one of them to go along with his three wins. He now sits just one point back of Ron Silk in the championship battle heading for the final six races of the season. "Congrats to my cousin Kyle (Bonsignore, winner), it's been a long time since he's won," Justin Bonsignore said. "We will take gaining one point on Silk tonight. We were a little too free on the first run and started the second run a little bit too tight. We will go onto Oswego. We've been really good at all of the upcoming tracks, but so is Ron... Hopefully it will be a good hard battle the rest of the way." Justin Bonsignore will return to the track on Saturday, September 2 at Oswego Speedway for the next race of the Whelen Modified Tour season.
